Civil Ceremony

Following is a sample of the civil ceremony performed by an officiant of the Mobile Marriage. Vows may be customized to reflect your personal wishes.

Welcome. We are gathered here to witness this man and this woman joined together in matrimony, which is an honorable estate and therefore not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, and discreetly, into which estate these two persons present come now to be joined.

Dave and Lin, if it is your intention to share with each other your joys and sorrows and all that the years will bring, with your promises, bind yourselves to each other as husband and wife.

Dave, will you take Lin as your wedded wife? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, and forsaking all others, keep only unto her, as long as you both shall live?

Lin, will you take Dave as your wedded husband? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, and forsaking all others, keep only unto him, as long as you both shall live?
